5D2 firmware update stuck at 98%

As the title says, my update has stuck at 98% for some strange reason. It's not proceeding and finishing the update and it looks like there is nothing i can do about it. anyone have any ideas at all ? i checked the filesize and all, everything was correct, no problems there.

It looks like it's stuck in a neverending loop even if i pull the batteries it just can't get out of this loop. am i doomed now ?

That's bad

If the firmware gets corrupt while writing, it's possible you may have bricked your camera and may need to send it to Canon to get it working again....

Ouch! crap this sucks as i have a shoot tomorrow and i really need this camera with me. Can't afford to fix it either.
