Lens to camera calibration kit.

Hello All,

I now have a 5D3. And my favorite lens is STILL the 24-105 which I used the most with my 5D2.

Today I had some closeup work to do so I used my 24-105. The depth of field was too narrow so I thought to move further away and use my 70-200 IS 2.8. I couldn't believe had bad the 70-200 was compared to the 24-105 for clarity.

My question ....

I want to have to 70-200 calibrated. I once sent my 100-400 to Canon for calibration and I was NOT impressed. So my thoughts with the 70-200 are to buy a calibration kit that has everything plus instructions and do it myself with this camera. (I ain't too bright so need the instruction. )

Can someone direct me to where I can buy a simple and effective kit?

Datacolor makes a good kit.
But if I'm correct, your 5dIII should have MFA adjustment for your lenses.
If it has that you can lay a yardstick diagonally (45degree-ish angle works best) , focus at a set number on the yardstick.
Take test shots and play with your MFA adjustment slider accordingly until it's spot on.

Have you tried using the micro-adjustment function on your 5D3?

Yep, I've tried to mess with it but I need instructions. Whatever I did just didn't seem to help.

Thanks, please see above. I remember reading here that someone bought a kit, paid a couple of hundred for it but was super happy. I want to be super happy.
