I got my 100mmL macro from HDEW. Very good service. Arrived in about 3-4 days and no problems with it at all, all original boxing etc. Looks just like it had been bought in Jessops.

Even better is if you can find a friend (of a friend) who works for Canon. They get a 30% staff discount.

Canon 550D, 5D Mkiii, 18-55mm, 70-300mm, 100mm L Macro, 16-35mm L, 24-105mm L, 100-400mm L, 50mm f1.8

Both have good reviews on another photography forum based in the UK but both are grey market dealers that don't pay import tax hence why the price is so low.

Yes they do. But they pay it as a percentage of a lower wholesale import price hence the reduction. These organisations normally have an HK or US connection.

Yeah dexy...your a bit lost on that. Some do pay it and some dont. VAT MUST be paid on goods either by the company importing them or the consumer. In this case, Digital Rev and DWH have already paind VAT/import duty.
It is just cheaper as they are a direct distributor as opposed to import->distribution->store. Its a middle man cut out.

Ive used DR and Panamoz recently and been very happy with both. Service seems to be equal although i think Panamoz tops DR with their free one year replacement warranty, London returns address and cheaper prices on some items.

I know this thread is about a camera, not a lens, but it doesn't cast DigitalRev in a good light:

I put that link in my first post but then decided it wasnt relevant to this thread, and didnt want to worry anyone.
It seems to be a small batch of cameras but it did seem to cause quite a stir.

But they did seem to sort it out. And I believe that was purchased from eBay.

Sorry for my earlier incorrect post.

It seems to have been in 2010 as well...even if they were being cheeky, maybe they have found a better business plan 3 ish years on. I hope. I think id buy bodies from UK instead just in case anyway (the £100 for the feeling of security if it does go tits up).
