Experience w/ them? I like to shoot events and move around a lot. So this might be good for me. Let me know otherwise...

TIA
Sherwin

PS. Too bad I bought an op-tech neck-strap (super classic strap) at Adolph Gasser store in SF today based on impulse =( ...they only do store-credit if I return it.

Excellent. And if you don't have a BG-E3 or whatever battery grip you should check out http://www.camdapter.com (external link) and look over their lovely straps. I have the Canon E1 on my 10D with BG-ED3 and also have the Camdapter strap on my 20D without grip... and I find I prefer the camadapter and no battery grip.

I have two and I think they're great. They allow me to hold the camera securely when walking around. They work well with the POTN straps too, because you can just unclip the POTN strap when you want to just use the hand strap.

Here's a shot of the 10D with the E1. Just slip your hand in there and... enjoy!

Which one you recommend for 20D ... Double Ended or the 2x Arca Style?

Thinking ahead I would consider the double ended Arca style bottom plate along with one of their hand straps. If you wanted to place the camera on a tripod you have taken up the tripod hole, so you need the Arca Swiss style camera plate on the bottom. You then get an Arca Swiss style tripod clamp from RRS, Wimberley or Kirk. Using the double ended plate you can attach the camera neck strap to the left top and bottom of the camera.

I guess I don't understand. Do you have both a neck strap and the hand strap on the camera? Do both straps afix to the upper right eyelet?

There's a small metal tab that the neck strap loops through:

Most of the time I don't use the neckstrap.
By way of explanation I have a bit of a bodgey system that works for me -so far. I really only use the neck strap when I change cf cards or change lens. I attach the neckstrap to the lower section of the handstrap. I do not use the eyelet thing sitting on top at all. I have a fast clip on, clip off D hanging on the neck strap. They are metal and therefore a possible risk to the camera paintwork etc. So I fitted some rubber heat shrink on the D to fix that. Here's a std cheap carbiner 'D'.

Ditto and double for the official POTN Optech Neckstrap!

Click the POTN shop link at the top of the page for a look...

argh. I want one of these for my XT but it IS expensive-doesn't even include the strap itself, $35 just for the adaptor. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I think this would really help me out (my hand goes numb after just a few shots, but I do always use my neck strap).
