No, LR edited RAWs. If I could shoot that good in JPG I'd be REALLY happy. Especially for stage shots.

Last night there were a whole bunch of elk on the golf course. Didn't take long for the clatter of antlers!

ROUND ONE. FIGHT!

I think it's time to retire (or fix) my 50-140... compared to the 90 the results are just night and day.
Basically same settings but you can see how f2 really allows more light in and keeps the ISO lower.

50-140 first, then 90 f2

I’m always torn between the two also. Much as I love the prime the zoom has become a good friend and I find the 90/2 is sitting there. I broke my last one and Fuji UK gave me a new one after I sent mine for a service FOC but I hardly use it anymore. Perhaps I should though.

That’s quite the difference in settings there for the same result. I’ll test mine to see if they are the same

Which is why I asked if they were OoC JPEG
Would be interested to see the adjustments made to each photo

I’ll shoot a chart with both under constant light to see what the difference is. But not today.

As I recall...

In LR these are the general basic adjustments-
Some had up to 1 stop up in Exposure (I was shooting -1 exposure comp in camera due to the bright stage lights)
Contrast even
Highlights down -10 to -25
Shadows up +1- to +25
Whites even
Blacks up just enough to remove clipping
Texture up 10 to 25
Clarity even
Dehaze up 10 to 25
Saturation even
Vibrance down about 10
Added Vignette to all
Minimal sharpening

New macro for the GFX arrived in from Japan today, only 4 days since I ordered it. The GFX100s took almost 5 months.
The macro is not a Fuji lens but a Pentax A 645 120/4. It looks new to me and I never shoot AF when doing macro anyway, except when tethering but that’ll have to change until I replace this with the GF120 if I ever do. First shot at almost close focus on the X-T4 as still waiting on a P645 to G adaptor to arrive.

Here are the images one with the 50-140 @ 90mm and the other with a 90/2 both at f/2.8
I had to up the exposure on the 50-140 by 0.14 to equalise them but the colour is slightly different oddly enough as is the shadow tone.

Do you see a change in sharpness?

I need to do this as well.

What about the 90 @ f/2?

What about the 90 @ f/2?

50-140 only has 2.8 but I can do both at minimum and see if the zoom is 1.14 stops darker at 2.8

I’d expect the T value to be higher in the zoom as more glass and all that

90mm @ f/2 and 50-140mm @ F/4
90mm is way sharper when you peek in. Took loads of f/4 re focusing between each this was the best, the zoom at f/2.8 was much softer as seen in the second pic, with little improvement in the prime which is good.
