My cousin called and told me that their photographer for my nieces' senior photos was not returning calls and asked me if I could fill in.
Not a problem!

This shot is just awesome, the colors, reflections, and capturing the bustle of Times Square despite the rain.

Fuji Rumors (external link) claims the next body for Fuji to release will be the X-S20. As a X-S10 owner I guess I need to wait until we see some more solid rumors/specs before I list everything for sale.

Crawled out from under a rock, also known as writing a complicated pitch, to make a short video on a capture card I recently was sent to check out. The company stated that it had very accurate colours and would love to see me test it with my Fuji cameras. Must make some more vids soon now that I have some time again.

Fujifilm photographer Andrew Hall at the 24 Hours at Daytona.

Pretty cool to see the big green girl working hard. It’s a big lens.

Fujifilm cameras have a problem with focusing in landscape situations with stopped down apertures. If you set the lens to f8, the camera will typically focus at f8. This causes a lot of issues with distant subjects. If you turn on the focus distance indicator and repeatedly half press the shutter in AF-s, you can see that the focus distance will change drastically almost every time you focus. I found zoom lenses to typically be the worst with this, but my 23mm f2 was also pretty bad in this regard.

The workaround is to go into manual focus mode and setup one of the custom buttons to be AF-On. This will force the camera to focus wide open and the lens will only stop down once you half press the shutter. This technique I found to be very reliable and fixed the issue completely and the only way to get consistent results. That being said, it's really frustrating you have to do a workaround in order to focus on landscape when most other brands have no issue there. This was the primary reason I've moved away from Fujifilm. I still have my X-T3 and a few lenses, but I've largely moved to Canon because this issue bothered me so much.

thanks, I'm about to get a 16mm mainly for its versatility for close up. I still have a canon full frame but Im tossing up on going full Fuji now

Been playing around with a review sample of a Godox Lux Senior, so been using some vintage glass with it to try to capture some nostalgic shots similar to my childhood. Pretty cool little flash so far actually. The boy has latched onto my "Tigger" from when I was only a little older than him. I'm not really sentimental with objects, but it is pretty cool to see it passing to the next generation.

I'm still in contact with Fujifilm Support (feels like they have an IQ of 4) regarding the bug I found with the V3.0 firmware for the H2S..
I used the Fujifilm X-Acquire utility to save the settings on the camera before I reset the body, so I could load the custom settings back again.
I sent them the file so they could take a look, but they've replied with "We cannot view the settings from your attached .dat file". I'm about to reply to them with a link to the X-Acquire utility download so they can put the settings into their test unit.. I sware I want to drive to their offices and give them a slap..

Yeah, those are some striking eyes, wow!

It's amazing watching your kids sorta follow in your footsteps; for us, my girls love Berenstain Bears "Spooky Old Tree", which my grandma read to me as a kid, and have now read about a million times to my kids :-P

I was asked if I could capture an issue I was having during testing some prerelease firmware once, replied it was lucky I had my documentary crew filming me that day. Th which they took a moment and said they realised that was perhaps not a good ask. Sent them the video a little later that day. Oh the fun.

Hope they get to see what’s what with your camera.

X-T5… battery meter showed 2/3 full, yet camera flashed a dead battery warning and turned off. Anyone have this happen to them (with any Fuji model)?
