Went out today looking for helicopters on Salisbury Plain, helicopters were a no show due to high winds :( . Camera was in Aircraft detection and my settings were set for rotor blur, so when this came bounding over the runway I wasn't sure the camera would be able to get a lock, but the H2S stuck a box over the body (like it had picked up an aircraft and started tracking) :)

Since x100v’s are still not readily available this pancake lens will have to do for now.
I feel like I need a re intro to photography after a few years have passed.

thanks, I'm about to get a 16mm mainly for its versatility for close up. I still have a canon full frame but Im tossing up on going full Fuji now

With the 16mm I would definitely recommend the manual focus with Af-On technique anytime you’re shooting distant subjects. Up close you won’t need to do this. I know full Fuji works for a lot of people so if you go do go that route I hope you enjoy it!

I haven't seen eyes that violet since Elizabeth Taylor.

Yeah, those are some striking eyes, wow!

It's amazing watching your kids sorta follow in your footsteps; for us, my girls love Berenstain Bears "Spooky Old Tree", which my grandma read to me as a kid, and have now read about a million times to my kids :-P

Thank you both, he's definitely got some striking eyes

His first time comprehending snow (it snowed us in last year shortly after he was born) :)

Been testing out the TTArtisan 35/0.95 as well. Initial impressions are pretty good surprisingly, it's gotten a lot of negative press. Maybe I just got a good copy (not that this shot is a shining example since I front focused a bit).

Lunch with friends today, some over from Germany and the US also. Had the camera with me but didn’t really take many photos, to busy talking. :-P

Question, I have the opportunity to buy the 16 F1.4 for less than half price. Exellent condition. I cant find a lot of images using it. wondering who has one. Would be using for landscape and close (I don't have a macro lens)

One of Fuji's best lenses. I have it (second hand) and use it quite often. I love it. You cannot go wrong for half price or less. Do it!

EDIT: I've not used it for macro.

It’s the Fuji lens I’ve had the longest, and it is what I’d consider “quintessential” Fuji: fun to use + character. It’s been the least used of my lenses, and I consider selling it from time to time, but for whatever reason I can’t let it go.

The macro-ish function is one of those fun characteristics, if it didn’t have this capability, I’d have sold it long ago.

It’s a great lens and at that price of you don’t get on with it selling it won’t hurt much.

MCEX-11 with the 10-24, doable?

As close as the XF10-24mm gets @24mm & f/11 with the MCEX11 (12800 ISO to :) )

And one as close as the XF16mm can get @f/1.4 without tube of course.
