Shot back in 2015, the very first image I took with a Fuji X camera. It was a used X-E1 that I bought in my ‘local’ camera shop a few days earlier, didn’t have any lenses but I ordered an M42-X adaptor so I could use some lenses I had at home. This was with the Zeiss 35mm f/2.4 MC that I that use today.
I saw the potential in the system once I got to see the shots back home on my computer and although I added a X-T1 shortly after it wasn’t until the X-PRO2 arrived (I was luckily to have one from Fuji pre-release) that I got rid of my full frame kit. Been shooting a lot of GFX lately so thinking I’ll start back day to day shooting with the smaller cameras again.

Hey I’m wanting to add another body, I’ve been looking at x-h2s or r7 maybe. I don’t see many people shooting the x-h2s tho, just wondering if there is a reason?? I shoot mostly wildlife and getting away from a crop sensor I’d miss the reach I would think. I currently have a 90d and would be using adapter to use canon glass on the Fuji if that was the road I took. I’ve also just considered buying a used eos r I know it’s a full frame but sometimes that would come in handy and putting the extra cash away. But I keep coming back to the x-h2s.

I've shot crop for the past 20 years. 300D, 20D, 50D, 7D & 7D2. I was loaned a 90D by FoCal to try out, hated it (Just too small in my hands, and no grip).

I used my 7D for 8 years before moving to Fujifilm. I bought the X-T4, I shoot weddings with another fot who moved from Canon. I'd used it a few times when working with him, it felt good in my hands with the grip. The button placement was more or less the same as the 7D/2.. Canon was slow on the release of a crop mirrorless and I had over 700K of clicks on my 7D2 and it need to retire to backup status.

Before buying the T4, I bought the Fringer EF-XF Pro II adapter to test my lenses out https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19294480

Canon were too slow with the release of the R7, not that it makes any difference, IMO Canon really dropped the ball by not giving 7D2 users a decent upgrade path and doing away with the battery grip (like Fuji has done with the X-T series.. but then the grip is bugged and they can't figure out why)

After a year of using the T4 with grip, it just had too many niggles and a touch too small for my hands. After shooting portrait for 12-14 hours my right thumb would be numb from where I pressed it against the body to get a decent hold of the camera.. There were other bugs that Fujifilm knows about that don't know how to fix them. (only way to fix them is to take the battery grip off and remove the body battery).

I popped into my local camera shop on the way back from a job because they had a Fujifilm Ambasidor visiting for the day to show off the new camera bodies. As soon as I had a gripped H2S in my hands, it was heaven, instant love.. Having shot several 12-14 day events portrait with the H2S, it's night and day against the T4, I probably should have gone with the H1 instead, but we live and learn :)

The difference between the R7 and H2S will be ergonomics and mpix. That's until you switch to electronic shutter, then the R7 will lag far behind the H2S, the R7 has a readout time of 31.3ms vs the H2S 9.7ms! (mechanical shutter is 4ms) that's because they're using the 90D sensor with an upgrade, which while faster than the R10, is unacceptable really.

The H2S is leaps beyond any camera I've used lately for ergonomics (coming from Canon DSLR) and performance.
BiF - taken late afternoon on a cloudy day (The bird handler likes to take photos too and said I wouldn't get anything decent because of the weather and time of day)

AF is better than Canon ever was. Only problem I have is when going above ISO12800 (extended 25600, 51200) the Shooting speed is 2fps

Second the remarks on the Fuji X-H2 or X-H2S vs the Canon R7. As a long time shooter of both the 7D and 7D2, Canon has really not yet brought out an equivalent R series camera that fills the 7D spot. The R7 has no top info screen, which I rely on, and has the warmed over 90D sensor, which I was never happy with.

The release of the lackluster 90D is what prompted me to acquire a Fuji X-H1, and subsequently a Fuji GFX100S. I use the X-H1 for small birds and wildlife, and the GFX100S for everything else (and occasionally large birds and wildlife).

Canon really dropped the ball on replacing the 7D2 IMO. FWIW, Nikon has really not brought out a Z-mount camera that replaces the excellent D500.

Would either of you fellas who are shooting birds w/ Fuji happen to have any .RAF files you'd be willing to share? POTN and other forums wreck the IQ when you upload, so it's hard to get a true idea of fine detail and sharpness, and I'd like to see what Fuji bird files look like in post.

I don't upload to POTN or any other forum, everything is hosted from my website...

Are there RAF files available for download there, specifically of birds?

Reason being... I shoot Nikon and Fuji, and am considering condensing down to one system, so would like to see how well Fuji does for birds in post on my home computer vs. seeing them at web resolution. If you aren't comfortable with sharing, that's fine :)

Well I finally did it....sold my full frame camera and in the process of selling any lenses my husband does not use (he has my old canon 7D2 and a 70D) so I'm now a Fuji X shooter exclusively apart from my drone. Recently got the 16 F1.4 and have just nabbed a 90 F2 to replace my canon 135L. This is the first pic with my 90 but will post more. Its not the sharpest shot
