Or people use the onboard flash when there is no light and want it to illuminate an entire scene. I have been there before, lol.

A lot of lessons learned over the years.

Likewise and hopefully I’ll have more to learn.

I’m a big fan of one good light setups but almost always off camera. There are times when a bit of pop from an on camera flash makes all the difference though given the choice, space and time I’d always opt to brining the light away from the lens a bit.

My client nabbed this of me during a commercial shoot last year. We shot about half this way but made sure to also set up some much more controlled lights too. Whatever gets the results is right in my book.

The boy walked the local parade today, we live in a smallish village, only took a few shots although there was plenty of interesting things happening I just was not in the mood. There was someone flying a drone under 5 meters over the crowd and the participants. That is totally a no go under Irish law, you can’t even get commercial clearance for that. Always one stupid person doing their part to make sure the rules get tightened even further for those of us who have to have a camera in the air. Costs me €1000 a day to fly in Dublin, just for the application approval.

Anyway, rant over here’s a shot.

X100T converted to 720 IR. I thought maybe the IR would pull more, or something different, out of a flame, but it looks and edits the same. It looked generally B&W SooC so I added the color toning and some detail in Topaz.
Anyway, this is a photo of a Radiate candle campfire, which is a slick backyard gadget that a buddy showed me.

Having trouble with the H2S and a Godox 860II-F. Whenever the flash is turned on it switches from whatever settings were left when tuned off to TTL..

I've e-mailed Godox Support. But wondering if anyone had found a solution?

As my Dad said repeatedly, if you didn't have a******s you wouldn't need government.

There should be an option on the flash itself to use manual mode

Heard back from Godox and they're saying it's the H2S defaulting to TTL when it's powered on. However the 860III, V1 and 350 all stay in the settings they've been allocated. So I've replied with this fact, yet to hear back from Godox about it..
