Sorry guys I know I'm in the minority with this view but as a serial pixel peeper it's just not doing it for me. It's more than likely a lightroom issue as opposed to a sensor issue but I have used lightroom for too long now to make a change to something different. I just feel the raws are soft compared to the in camera jpegs and you can't sharpen them without them rapidly looking terrible (at 100% zoom). If I use off camera flash it seems to be fine but natural light stuff always ends up a bit mushy. I love the size of the kit and the build quality but it's just really bugging me now so it has to go. Just a bit gutting the money I am losing due to the low resale value of the fuji stuff.

Thanks for the compliment dark knight, appreciated

Strange, I think the files from the X-E1 work great in LR5... maybe they did something different with the coding on the newer cameras?

A couple more hand held from the Vivitar S1 70-210/2.8-4... having IBIS would definitely be killer

Whoa, it looks like that bird's pupil shrank in half between the two pics. Creepy.

I think my fascination with my new X-T1 has completely taken over. I have a nice basic kit and thanks to some good deals I've financed it without selling the 7D or Sigma 30/1.4. This was generally my favorite combo and it's now packed in boxes with no ill effects.

I'm considering trying to trade all my remaining Canon gear for the Fuji 56/1.2. Yea, its worth more than the Fuji costs at full retail, but most of the remaining bits, once you get past the body and lens, are useless without the body and lens.

What would you do? Stay dual system or go after the 56. Keep in mind that I'm "frugal" by nature and won't just buy the 56 outright.

I sold off what was left of my Canon gear and switched to Fuji. For the last 3 years, I only had the 5D II, and 50L. I used that combo for all it was worth lol. I also had a 580 EX II, but never really used it on camera, always off along with my Yongnuo flashes.

anyway, I sold off those three Canon items, and it funded the X-T1, Zeiss 32mm f/1.8, and 56mm f/1.2....the only reason I was able to get all of that was because, I bought the Zeiss Touit Combo, and sold the 12mm for $650 (making my investment in the Zeiss 32mm about $300).

They're 2 different birds in 2 different spots, the first was in dark shade, hence the dilated eyes and high ISO ;)

What set up you going for now then matey? Sony? Or you gonna get some canon gear again?

Going to attempt to go with the Sony. Lens lineup is the only drawback but the zeiss 55 gets steller reviews so going to give it a go. Im more of a 35/85 kinda shooter but hopefully can make the transition. I cant face going back to a full size body again but may ultimately end up there

Oh, I saw your ad! I just have a feeling that the exchange combined with shipping would make it prohibitive. :)

I've seen photos from others, and seen them from my own camera, where I start editing the RAW files in LR, and they start looking like figures from madame tussauds wax museum.

I shot in RAW and processed in LR5 and I thought it came out sharp.

I'm struggling with the AF of my X Pro1 at the moment. I bought it as a lightweight alternative to my 7D, but lots of my shots are coming out blurry. When it nails focus its awesome, but that's too far and few between for my liking. I don't want to invest in more lens as the second hand market is poor, and I think I'll lose even more money.
It's struggling to keep up with my 1 year old, it will only get worse as she gets older and faster. I agonised over the A7r and X Pro 1, I didn't feel anything for the X-Ti, it was never on my radar. I just ordered £200 of filters, I think I will cancel them.
How are other owners managing ? ? ?
