People talk about the "smudgy" or "painted" look of some Raw Conversions but this is ridiculous.

Oct 02, 2014 17:20 | #2448 dtufino wrote in post #17190219 Well this is how i see it.... without shooting any of the other brands down... Sony, Olympus, canon etc. If an company releases a camera that has an amazing Sensor, but terrible ergonomics... would you sacrifice use for the sensor? that was my issue with Sony! While i loved the images that came out of it, i really Hated using the camera.... The Olympus was WOW.... amazing and i still love it... once i played with my buddy's X-T1 i just wanted to switch. Just Because... That being said, if i decide to switch from Fuji, i would go back to the Oly. these cameras have souls, the Sony doesn't. (My Opinion) If you really hate the ergonomics, then there's indeed no point in keeping the camera. It's the same reason why I could never use a Nikon DSLR. Sony indeed doesn't have soul, they are just an electronics company and every new camera of them feels like "another device". But they sure do deliver on the image quality part like no one else does. My Canon also has "soul", yet its image quality and AF problems are starting to irritate me so much, that I'm willing to take image quality above soul. 550D | EF-S 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 IS | EF 50mm F/1.8 II | EF 70-200mm F/4L IS | Speedlite 580EX II | LumoPro LP180 | Gitzo GT3541XLS | Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 SP | ONA Bowery (black, non-leather)

Oct 02, 2014 17:53 | #2450 Whats the major difference between the X-T1, X-Pro1 and the X-E1? I've looked at the specs on the Fuji website but they seem very similar when I compare them. Website

After using my D800 for the past several months I am just as comfortable with it as any of the Canon bodies I previously owned. I actually have liked the few mirrorless bodies I have had a chance to use as well. Once you get past acclimating yourself to the different control layouts on each body they are quite easy to use from what I've found. Flickr

Super Slow to focus..... the X-e! suffered from the same thing. -David T.

Oct 02, 2014 18:43 | #2453 Some still prefer the optical viewfinder and rangefinder styling of the X-Pro 1. The only experience I've had with Fuji is my X-T1 that I dumped my 5D II and L glass for, and couldn't be happier. Phillip - phillipwardphotography.com

Oct 02, 2014 19:44 | #2455 damn, that's pretty substantial in size, but I'm sure it weighs substantially less than a DSLR kit. Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

Oct 03, 2014 08:31 | #2457 David those look awesome. I don't think I want to replace my Canon kit, I was thinking about a x100s but for that much money I feel something like an X-E1 with the 18 or 27 plus the 35 or 56 would make a great small kit for casual stuff. Basically replacing my G15 and maybe my 60D. Website

Seeing as how ppl missed your post, I would personally say yes that's a really good deal. But I guess it will also depend on your style of shooting. I used to own the 18-55 lens and although it impressed me everytime I used it, I would always keep reaching for my 35mm as my go to lens, mainly because I shoot wide open and can't make up my mind on focal lengths haha. 500px
