I didn't use my X100s for a while and then picked it up again recently, and I'm always wowed by how much I like SOOC JPEGs. I don't do much PP (if at all) because the camera usually seems to expose really well and I love how the colors look coming straight from the camera. I'm tempted to pick up an interchangeable lens model of a Fuji for these reasons.

Oct 04, 2014 01:43 | #2463 Hi Dark Knight. The image I posted of the Swiss countryside is SOOC taken with my x100s. I don't shoot RAW. I know in the serious camera world, not shooting RAW is a heinous offense, but provided I meter correctly, I rarely find it necessary to do any PP except crop. I debated for over a year whether to buy the x100s or the 70-200 f/4 IS lens for my trip to Europe. I finally chose to buy the x100s with the 50 mm teleconverter and I don't regret my decision.

Terrific pics, but I have to say, I think I still prefer the look of the images from the 5D III. What lens(es) did you use for those pics? I love it when the same photographer uses two different cameras in almost an identical situation, as that gives a really good "real-world" comparison between the two cameras where skill level is equalized.

The X-T1 is a really sweet camera, but I still think full frame produces that "look" that I prefer. The X-T1 is really sweet, and i think mirrorless is about 1 to 2 years behind actual DSLR image quality... would i ever trade in my 5d3 for a mirrorless (not right now)..... On the canon i used the 135L, the Sigma 35mm Art lens and the Tokina 16-28mm for the party and extra wide angle shots.... -David T.

NOW, i must say this.... the XT1 is def. a GREAT backup body to carry around... it's so light and easy to handle, and i got some really good shots with it! Ahh, you mentioned getting rid of your larger cameras, so I was wondering about that.

The X-T1 does look to be an awesome camera, but for a hobbyist like me I couldn't really justify the cost of building out an additional system like that. Fuji lenses are extremely high quality (the 56mm 1.2 looks amazing), but if I wanted to build out a system around the X-T1 with the 56mm and 24mm and 35mm (the primes I would absolutely want) it's getting quite pricey! I did mentions selling my big camera stuff, but what i meant by that was the larger lenses.... i never use my 70-200 anymore... never use my 300mm anymore... i'll use my 50, 135L, 40mm, 35mm... and my wide angles. (Tokina) which i really like alot. -David T.

Oct 06, 2014 12:01 | #2474 Hey folks thinking about trying to sell my X-E2 + 18-55 F2.8-4 to fund some computer upgrades that I need. Its only 4 or 5 months old and I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. With my new job I pretty much have my 6D with me all the time. Aaron
