Adobe posts Lightroom 4.4 and ACR 7.4 release candidates (external link)

What makes this release especially significant, however, is improved support for Fujifilm's X-Trans sensor models, including the X-Pro1 and X-E1.

Adobe's Fujifilm X-Trans sensor processing tested (external link)

there's no question that with the 7.4 release candidate, Adobe has substantially improved their raw processing for the camera's X-Trans sensor. The results speak for themselves and we feel confident in saying that ACR 7.4 RC is the update that X-Pro1 users have long been waiting for.

For the big zoom I am going for the Fuji S4500 rather than Canon SX160.
For the P&S I am considering:
Fujifilm
FinePix JZ250 Digital Camera (Black)
16.0Mp Resolution
25-200mm Fujinon 8x Optical Zoom Lens

Fujifilm
FinePix T400 Digital Camera (Black)
16.0Mp Resolution
28-280mm Fujinon 10x Optical Zoom Lens

Olympus
VR-340 Digital Camera (Red)
16Mp 1/2.3" Image Sensor
24-240mm Equivalent Lens
10x Optical Zoom

I will probably be posting this on the Fuji X Fourms but I have an event related question. Has anyone solely used Fuji cameras (X100/XP1/XE1) for events such as concerts or weddings. If so what challenges and solutions came about?

I just sold my Canon 5DII today, and currently have an XP1 + 35mm. I'm looking to buy the XE1+kit and use it for an upcoming wedding in May.

^the only thing I could think of is the slow and sometimes unreliable AF of the Fuji X (at least from my experience with the X100) but I'm sure you know that since you own an XP1 already.

One thing I like to do on my X-PRO1 when I want to use autofocus is shoot in manual focus mode, and push the AE-L / AF-L button which will autofocus quickly wherever I set my AF point to.

Here are a few links to photographers that use X cameras for weddings. If you send them an email, maybe they'll reply?

JACKPOT!

Thank you so much for the link! I still have issues with AF during events (poor lighting) so I generally shoot in MF, but I've heard of people using CF for moving objects.

Another thing I am hoping for is for Samyang to give more support and release all of their lenses on the mirrorless systems. These are such brilliant lenses to use and a perfect match for EVFs!

You're very welcome. :)

BTW, I noticed a few of my links were out of order (I fixed them).

Me too!

Some of these lenses sell fairly cheap 2nd hand and I thought of getting an adapter to use a Canon or Nikon mount Samyang / Rokinon / Bowers / etc on the X-PRO1. I really wanted the 24mm 1.4, but I thought the lens size + weight + adapter would be awkward on the small camera.

Time to bump this page...with some Walimex/Samyang goodness!!!!

This was posted by another member on the Fuji X fourms. Looks like all the lenses will finally be coming to the the x-mount cameras.
