I keep going back to them & taking my time, but I think I'm starting to get used to these Fuji files & how to approach [change the style/method of] the editing......

Love those mkI escorts..used to watch them at rallys all the time as a kid growing up. Not the fastest but boy did the drivers have a grin on their face!

We only got the neutered Escort's here in the states (I had a '97 Escort as my first car and it was awful), but I love cars like it. Smiles per gallon is far more important to me than being "fast"... my Mini is "slower" than my old 330i was, but man is it more fun to drive

X-Pro2 and Samyang 21mm (I really recommend this lens if you like a fast 35(ish)mm equivalent fast lens on the cheap (I paid $225 for mine).

One of my mate's famous phrases is ''Smiles per Mile'' Was only chatting about that yesterday with the girlfriend. She loves going out in the Escort - It is pretty quick and even if I lose a quick blast by a few car lengths I don't mind one bit when it's something like a Merc CLS 500 5.0L or 5.5L V8 because the look of "Oh f**k" on their faces when a 45 year old car is pretty much keeping with them is priceless

Anyway, have some more

Just an old boat anchor 'Pinto' engine with a few modifications [UK Capri, RS2000, Cortina, Sierra] - as in OHC not from an American Ford Pinto for those of you in the USofA

Nope. Only Yokohama & Nankang do tyres in the size I use now More choice if I swap to a taller sidewall.

I used to get this a lot when shooting Sony I've tried to keep my processing similar while switching brands but lately I seem to have ended up with less negative saturation/vibrance in my shots!! Anyway, for the above first image, custom WB [I find Fuji shoots cool in Auto], + 20 exposure, +50 contrast, curve for no blacks, + orange/yellow luminance, bit of sharpening & Astia camera profile - in all honesty, I didn't notice much difference between the different profiles. Also some dodging/burning to suit.

Depending on what your subject is there is sometimes a huge difference between the different film simulations. My favorite 3 are Provia, Classic Chrome and Velvia (in that order). The film simulation is usually the first thing I mess with when editing my shots.

Great coverage dude Classic Chrome doesn't play with the X-E2 & LR5.7 Astia seems to be a little softer to me

On a related note - What editing programs do we all use? I've always used Lightroom. Upgraded to LR5.7 with the Sony A7 which is fine at the moment [with the X-E2] but I'm going to have to jump up to LR6 if I end up upgrading to the X-Pro2........
