I use a Joby GorillaPod for backpacking and camping. Perhaps not as versatile as the MeFoto, but it offers simplicity. It's convenient in a city setting since you don't need to fumble around with setup.

I also have a Joby GorillaPod that I use when I don't feel like I will need a full size tripod, it's useful because I can just take the ball head off the MeFoto and use it on the Gorilla Pod. I also have a a Manfrotto Pixi Mini Tripod - for some reason, despite having the most minimalist photography set up possible, I own three tripods!

I have Joby too. I carry it in my Gopro bag. I'll try it on my Fuji bodies and see how it fares. Thanks for the memory poke ߘ

I do the same thing with the ball head from my mefoto tripod. Very convenient if I dont want to take or think I'll need a tripod.

I have a solid tripod from my canon gear but it's not travel friendly. I will checkout that mefoto when it goes on sale or pick up a used one.

I have been using the pixl I think it is called from manfrotto and aside from when I need it to be used at a tall level And can't put it on anything, it fits the system perfectly and its small size can give some different perspective as well. Anyway, for $20 on Amazon, it is solid and has essentially a ball head and it is basically Pocketable depending on your shorts, I highly recommend it.

I will say sports are more enjoyable to shoot when you are not lugging around a 1d, 7d, 70-200 and 120-300. Will need more practice and finish reading up on the manual, but I'm impressed with the improvements from the xt1. I may be able to try shooting basketball tomorrow or it'll be more softball practice. Next weekend my old sport, track and field.

I didnt use the 100-400 today as I was fairly close and it was a late game so I didnt want to limit my aperture. Will be testing the xt2 with the 100-400 as well as the 50-140 with the 1.4 extender tomorrow at an earlier game. Hope this are helpful for anyone looking at the fuji for action.

So nice to not lug around a dslr for things, even sports I imagine. Plus, not going to lie, dslrs with fast glass are so freaking nerdy and alarming, it is an added bonus fly a little more under the radar from an "impression" standpoint as well as size.

Man, I'm really considering ordering an X-T20... that 4k capability, tilting touch screen and matching sensor of my X-Pro2 make it really tempting, but I need to give the X100T a longer shake first

Plus, the X100T was really nice to have on my ski trip last weekend :) I had it zipped up under my jacket, and even though I fell down who know's how many times (my first time skiing) it was great to have on me. I did get it a little wet after one big fall launched some snow under my jacket... thankfully the only issue seems to be that the power button is slightly sticky now, I'll have to look into cleaning it off.

I must admit, I love what Fuji have done with the X-T20 - if I were after an ILC I would probably go for that over the X-T2. Would you not consider keeping the X100T and replacing the X-Pro2 with the X-T20? Personally, I'm so happy with with the X100T, I think I'll see what comes after the X100F.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Did he say he wanted to replace the X-Pro2? I didn't read it like that. ;-)a

Ill have to say my X-T10 with Fotga bolt on grip with GT5000 tape feels incredible in my hands. I just picked up an X-T2 couple days ago and the X-t10 feels substantially better with a deep grip.

There is no doubt in my mind Ill be picking up an X-T20.

I am loving the small size of xe2 so much I really hope that line gets attention too. In a year or so I may upgrade that way. I am finding that I really don't use the evf much, which is weird, but I still wouldn't move down becuase when you want it you really want it to be there.
