My wife's uncle and his daughter, they won't see each other for a few months after tonight, both travelling.

ISO12,800 and pushed a stop in post, there is a bit of grain but it's of the nice kind to my eyes & plenty of detail still. Pretty good for such a high ISO I think, effectively ISO25,600. Also not trying to mask anything by converting to B&W, well there is no need really colours look OK to me.
Oh and the AF locked on fine in the darkened room even without 'boost' mode on (the X-PRO2 hasn't got that anyway).

I gave my daughter my Fuji 35mm f/2 WR for her new X-T20, so I replaced it with the 35 f/1.4 R. It may make some strange noises, but it does render nicely. While the f/2 is an excellent lens, I think I will get along with the f/1.4 version.

I've been thinking about the 35 f1.4 ..

but I thought maybe since its an older lens there will be a newer version out some time in the near future?

Other than faster and quieter AF not much to improvement needed. It’s a stellar lens

That’s some horrible bokeh. I was so happy to see what lens this was—and that I don’t have it.

I don't see an updated 35mm f1.4 any time in the near future....but who knows, Fuji might have it in the works. The same optics with faster AF and some weather sealing would be nice.

Found a cheap infant sweatshirt today so decided to pick it up and see how the cats would do with cloths. I thought both would hate it but both did surprisingly well. I mean they definitely didn't love it, but other then food they don't love a lot.

I took the opportunity to test out the 16-55 a bit more. In doors, at night, in a dimly lit, is not really ideal conditions. Still it did good.

Good to see some more ISO12800 photos in colour. Cats must be the most photographed things when a new lens arrives.

Yeah, the 35/1.4 is easily my favorite lens. Although this little 7artisans 25mm has impressed me enough that I've been eyeing their new 35/1.2...

Man, that thing is interesting. For that price, I might just have to try that out. I don't have a 35mm for my Fuji and while I was looking at the Samyang 35mm F1.2, it's pricey, I'm really curious about that 7Artisans 35mm F1.2, it's so small. Curious how sharp wide open it is and how well the CA is (don't mind a little).

Very best,
