One thing I hope they add to the next iteration of camera bodies... is a lock button for the exposure compensation dial... Can't even count how many times I pull the camera out of the bag, take a shot, and find out it's severely underexposed or overexposed... and see the dial had been knocked up or down.vmad

is that something on an XT2? Because my XT1 the exposure comp dial is very tight and you really have to put some effort into moving it. I have my new xt2 being delivered today so i guess I can see if its much easier to turn compared to my xt1

I never use it either, but it never fails either when I'm putting the XPro 2 back in my bag or taking it out, the dial gets knocked and is no longer set to 0. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to become an annoyance.

I used it occasionally , when i preferred blown out highlights over noisy shadows .(**peoples faces in the shadows )

That wasn't too often , I can do without dial on body

What does e/c adjust anyway? Iso?

I use it all the time at events, set shutter speed and aperture & use the ex-comp dial to change the ISO. With the preview exp/we on it’s a very fast way of changing settings.

Being a photographer is not all champagne and models but is it sometimes ice cream and a beach in the sun. Got finished a shoot ahead of time so hit the nearby beach for a 30min relax.

Mine only works when the iso dial is set to auto but I like to set my own iso. Maybe if Fuji implements a mind control feature on the X-T3? :-D

loving this new X-T2. The menu system is much better than the X-T1, the shutter seems more responsive, the high ISO from just playing around ISO 12800 seems as good as 6400 on my 7DII and X-T1. I LOVE the push lock for the dials. That was one thing that drove me crazy trying to change the ISO on the xt1. the buttons feel better, the screen resolution is sharper.

I hope it never gets removed, it's extremely useful.

ISO is a trivial setting these days in my opinion. It basically doesn't effect the look of your image up until after 6400, I leave mine on auto pretty much all the time unless I'm using artificial light or the rare occasion I use shutter priority.

The EC dial makes on the fly adjustments thoughtless, don't even need to move my hand, just a quick flick of my thumb.

Plus, if you only ever use manual then the dial literally does nothing... so why remove it just to appease the few people who never use it?
