I'm back... Well, I will be tomorrow.

Several years ago I started out with a Fuji camera. I decided to jump ship,
Giving the Fuji to my mom and trying a Canon. I didn't like it, I just couldn't get the same files as the Fuji (they both shot only JPEG). Decided to try Nikon and had a D200 and a D90 with a plethora of lenses, flashes, grips etc.

Shooting RAW I was able to get close to what I wanted and was quite happy for a few years. In 2012 I was in a nasty accident with a hit and run semi. My car flipped end over end. Luckily my kids only had a few scratches. I took a torn shoulder and some cracked discs in my back BUT we all walked away.

So that took both a physical and mental toll on me. Slinging around big cameras sucked so I stripped the grip from the D90 and just used a 35mm for a year but found myself not doing that very much other than on trips and such. I used my iPhone 4S for most everything.

Of course those files suck outside of the phone and if grew to love
That focal length. Guess what, I found the X100/s are roughly the same (I'm a prime shooter and never zoomed on the phone).

So I boxed all of my gear up (keeping a flash) and shipped it off for sale. I had planned on an X100s but I found a like new X100 for a price I couldn't pass up. Ordered up the hood, a 49mm b+w filter (I don't leave home without one) and a 2 year warranty.

It'll be here tomorrow and I'm quite excited. Assuming it comes early enough in the day and I can get the battery charged (I ordered 3 extra) I have some plans to get out and shoot.

^Great shot! I used to have the Rokinon 8mm for my T2i, I sold it when I got the 6D because I didn't like having to crop out so much of the frame. I might pick one up for the Fuji though, especially since it's faster aperture than the one I had and super tiny

I got an EF tilt adapter last week, had some fun with it at the Washington Auto Show. Still processing the shots, but here's a couple :)

well, tiny is relative now. My fisheye has always been the smallest lens in my bag on ANY system. That's NOT the case with the rok 8mm for fuji. Is it small? Yes. But it's about the size of the 35mm and it's a LOT bigger than the 18mm..

The RAW's from this camera seem sort of low saturation, but once you bump up the vibrance/saturation a bit, the colors are awesome! :)
