Although I prefer the other shot we did four poses, I usually only do one but that face...
Here's the second choice for me out of the four. I was going to do B&W but somehow the colour just works better, least to my eyes

This is gorgeous, Kim. The light, texture, composition are a feast for the eyes, but what really pulls me in are the small details: the dirt under his nails, the fabric of his coat sleeve, and the light catching the goldish-blond hairs on the top of his head. Has an almost painterly aspect to it.

One of the best photos I've seen here in a while.

Thanks Matthew. Finding subjects is not always easy but when you do it’s great

Last one of Willy, usually only shoot one shot, I set the shot the pose the lighting etc & shoot one frame, on these but ended up doing four. These were shot in the local cafe who were very nice letting me take over a corner for a little while :) & Willy for posing, he got a couple of 8X10's to take home.

Agree completely. Honestly a good portrait is more than needing FF, fast prime. I wish I was half as good.

I felt so bad that I had to cancel our July 4th weekend trip along the Oregon coast due to my work. From the pictures I have seen, it looks really beautiful.

It really is, although I have been quite a few times and it isn't often this clear of cloud!

Loved the 3 shots of Willy, Kim! They make me want to sit down and have a chat with him. There's some wisdom there to share.
