This shot made my girlfriend and I both think of Aladdin...

The bright light at the top center of the frame is Mars. I was trying to capture it with the storm rolling in below, but the slow shutter to catch the lightning caused it to blur a little more than I'd have preferred.

every year for my son and daughter, for their birthdays, I do a little themed shoot to use for their invitations. One of those things I tried once, and now every family that gets an invitation looks forward to the next one to "see what I came up with".

In any case, this year my daughter's theme is Princesses.

We all know how good the Fuji lenses are here but it still surprises me when I hear others dish them in a forum for not having good quality. This was the 90/2 on the X-PRO2.

most likely it's because they read someone else's comments on a forum or video and just regurgitate it..

Walking back tonight from scouting a location for a shoot I have in a couple of weeks. Nice balloons.

I sometimes question the balance of crazy macro lens sharpness being too detailed for portrait shoots. I guess you can always soften things up in post.

Macro beauty photos are slightly different from your standard portrait....

You should try the 90/2 for that it can focus in about that close the 35/1.4 also gets in close as does the 16/1.4 but then that one might not be considered a beauty shot

Wow. You have to feel for them. And it isn't like they hired a $500 Craigslist photographer....

At some point, public awareness will go up and people will start noticing the difference between a professional and someone who just bought a camera and has pretensions.

I can't believe the company said it was ok.

Yeah, a shot like that requires good light, a sharp lens and higher-end Retouching skills.
