Nice.

I've been trying to sell my X-Pro 2 with no success. I still have my XT-1, but my 7 year old son likes using it. If I sold my XT-1, I'd let him use the X-Pro 2, otherwise if I sell the X-Pro 2, I may put it towards an XT-3.

I thought Fuji lenses never made sun stars or was it stars from night lights in the street?

Well if you read the internet the sun stars are no good and you have to stop down to f/100000000 to get any.... That was shot this morning.

(OK slight cheat as it's the sun reflecting in a parked car's windshield, so don't tell anyone.)

Update on my 50-140 lens repair...

Received it back yesterday and was only able to open the box and take a look today.

Here were my issues (as noted on the repair remarks)...
"Customer claimed: Out of focus at high shutter speeds, results are blurry, hood not fit, tripod mount backs out"
"Threaded insert for tripod mount backs out resulting in stripped threads on mount"

Issues addressed with repair...
"Replaced 4th barrel. Assy Ring Hood, Assy hood. Mount. Damper"

- The lens hood now fits like a glove, as it should. The previous hood fit horribly, very tight.
- The threaded insert was not even looked at. It still backs right out resulting in binding and the threaded screws getting stripped.
- I've not mounted it and taken any test shots yet... waiting for reply from Fuji.

I sent them an email. We'll see what they say. I've been without this lens for almost 5 weeks now and the idea of sending it back again kills me.

I could just use some blue loc-tite and fix this myself but after paying $468 on the repair and return shipping I really want them to take care of the issue.

They also noted that there was a previous repair on this lens; I bought it used. I asked for some documentation as to what that repair was and when it was performed.
I'll report back when I get a reply to my inquiries.

Sorry to hear...

When I sent my X-Pro 2 in this past Summer, I didn't hear from them for 2 weeks. Only when I called did the confirm they received it and quoted me a price to repair.

Did the seller of that lens tell you it was previously repaired? That would suck if he/she didn't, and ends up being the culprit as to why it may have acted up on you. I guess that's one of the cons of buying used from another person.

No disclosure. The x-pro2 I bought from him also had to be sent in last year. A flash I bought was perfect though, but it was pretty much brand new.

It took 2 weeks for me as well and I had to call them too... the first time AND this time.

Fujifilm repair needs some serious upgrades IMHO.

I also am hesitant buying used gear from strangers now.

There are filters for that. (The kind that screw onto the lens).

C&C always welcomed...

80’s fantastic star filter. Ah the memories.

Fuji USA repair get some grilling online. I do hope they react to these reports as it sucks to have such a poor service. Ireland is so small we really only have one service point so a bit easier to manage I guess but camera bodies still get posted to the UK so there is a month wait at least.

Local camera shop will give loners if the camera needs repair up to two years from new so they are positive about it but you have to have bought the camera from them in the first place.

FPS offer a three day return, although I know only the GFX is covered in the USA.

Just love the colors and perspective on the last one ...And the blue door in middle of shot only adds to the color without distracting......,You seem to be able to make the normal indoor orange casts one gets from indoor shooting ( without help of flash etc) into something that looks great ....In this case it( slight orange cast) works really well with the door and reds and whites of hat etc to point its not really noticeable especially as the whites in the hat are almost cast free .....The 35mm 1.4 combined with the xpro 2 really also makes this shot on the technical side. Nice narrow dof and still sharp at 1.4. Makes me think I need to get my 35mm 1.4 out more than I am currently.

And BTW....I really didnt need to see this actually as the last thing I need is another new camera( more specifically an xpro-2) in my place at the moment! :) That was the first thing I looked at after seeing the shot......What was the camera used :)

I got €850 for mine(X-T2). Dicided to keep my X-PRO2 though and enjoy the deprecation.

Sitting on the fence about getting an X-100f can’t decide if I really want one or not as I’m quite happy with the X-PRO2 and 18/2. Probably not then.

I was thinking about selling the xt2 as well //

but yeah those prices dipped down quick a bit before the xt3 was released... and then even more after.

I paid $900 for mine (new) .. so I guess not too bad since I usually assume 35% loss if in good condition.

But I think i'd rather keep it for now... maybe it'll be the "beater camera"... rain, snow, mud , beach etc

Xh1's took quite a dip in price as well
