Agree good stands rule. Studio grip gear is really important and makes life easier.

The Fuji Walk I did last year in Washington D.C. was a first for me too. I really enjoyed it, and got some nice photos out of it. I still chat with a few of the people I met on Instagram regularly.

Capture One 12 Fuji pro is 50% off with this code now: ivy50

I just got the Capture One Pro on the trial and my first go at it was frustrating compared to LR. Seems like setting up a file is an endless process, only a few shots on the right, not having the "Library" "Development" modules etc. Is anyone else having difficulty with it or is it just because I am a technology challenged geezer? :)

The OVF/EVF toggle switch on my X-Pro1 seems to have given up the ghost since my little trip to Ireland. It did get lightly showered on a few times but I tried to keep the camera pretty protected, although maybe that was it ... is this a common thing with X-Pros though, that this switch should stop working?

On the plus side, it's stuck in EVF which is probably the one I would want to have, and I'm enjoying using the camera again.

A couple of things - the capture one website (and their YouTube channel) has a LOT of tutorials that are broken into logical, bite sized pieces covering the interface and the workflow.

Second, unlike Lightroom, the capture one interface is completely customizable, and you can save your particular collection of "tools" (panels) as a workspace, which you can call up whenever you would like. So, you could have a workspace for culling, a workspace for global edits, a workspace for local editing with masks, a workspace for color grading, etc. so that not every single tool is exposed all of the time.

Take some time to work through the videos, the workflow is not that cumbersome, it is just different than LR.

I got to walk home from work in daylight yesterday and without much of a rush on so I decided to do a little street stuff with the X-Pro, nothing spectacular but enjoyable to shoot. Zone focussing like a proper rangefinder.

Dunked my iPhone under water [no intentionally] so had to dig out and old phone, a Nokia N95 8gb I got in 2008. Man using those things is difficult by todays standards, even sending a message... But I did find loads of old photos on it, kinda nice nostalgia. This is one I snapped with the phone while waiting for the stylist/hair/MUA to finish off so I can press the button. Ha good times lots of peeps making the goodness happen on a shoot at times, 9 including my that afternoon. I remember we tried to get a convertible Ferrari 430 but that was a no go but lucky Fiat where up to loan an Alfa for the day, lost my favourite cap driving that back < very cool Alfa marketing person said I could have the car for 'a few hours' after the shoot :) Ah the memories.
