the following are my opinions based on absolutely no research (googling) or maybe not even logic:lol:
so please take no offense..

so the xh1 :p

I was a bit mad at Fuji for the xh1.
from the beginning I thought it was over priced.
but ok , early adopter.. i'm taking the hit.

I did all for the IBIS.. and for the ergonomics.. for my taste I like the xh1.. its very much like the gh4/5 which in my opinion is the perfect sized and shaped cameras.. well almost perfect, just need a deeper space for the fingers..which the xh1 had!

however I was having more lock up issues with the xh1 then I had with the xt2.. so I quickly abandoned ship and sold it for a loss of about $400 (not including taxes:-( )

and then the xt3 was announced..
which annoyed me even more , because they touted the xh1 as being the "video centric" camera.. but the xt3 beat it in all regards as far as video and only a couple of months later.. and at a much cheaper price!

oh Fuji..

so anyway lets fast forward a bit..

I do own a sony a73 and a panasonic gh5.

but i've been shooting mostly with the xt3 or x100f and once in a blue the xt2 gets some love.

the a73 I got to compliment my gh5 , basically for gymbal work for its great Video AF..
the gh5 I was using for stills for a bit but I initially got it for video.. and once I got a cage for it.. well its been strictly a video camera.
I absolutely love the lumix gh5 and was even tempted to get the g9 for stills.
but I decided .. for now at least to stick with my Fuji cameras for stills and lumix for video..

my canon gear is slowly being sold..

so the point you ask?

I miss the ibis of the gh5 for stills..
which was great for pics like this during night time street shooting / cityscape etc

1/8 at iso 200.. pretty good for my shaky hands

the xh1..also did similarly , not quite as good as lumix ibis .. but definetly way better than the sony a73 ibis

now these are more extreme setting for street shooting ..

but even for portraits ,, I find my keeper rates are a lot better when i've shot with the gh5 than with the xt3..

while the xh1 was over priced at $2199 .(with grip)
I think its current price of 1299 (with grip) is quite a deal for those wanting IBIS from Fuji and prefer a beefier body.

Love the xt3..and have not intentions of getting rid of it .. but the xh1 at its current price and its ibis are tempting..who knows maybe firmware has resolved lock up issues?

Timing has been less than ideal, but who could have known? I'm guessing the XT3 came together faster than Fuji expected (unlike the Xpro2, which dragged on longer than expected).

Having said that, my (not magic) crystal ball thinks you should wait for the XH2, which presumably will give you the XT3 plus the XH1 and whatever bonus Fuji has cooked up.

Then perhaps you can replace one or more of your video cameras with it.

Or, heck, get the XH1 because you know what you are getting. It's only money. You don't have to be "reasonable" if it's within your budget :).

I think the X-H1 was touted as a more 'tough for the pros in the field' kind of camera, those who need a better video/stills camera, like JR & JC who shoot the 24Hrs LeMans and interview the drivers with the cameras. Still, very annoying for everyone else as the video out from the X-T3 - if you shoot 4K - is just that bit nicer. If you shoot HD then the X-H1 is good value.

I want an X-H2 purely for the ergonomics but my X-T2 works perfectly for my needs so it will be hard to justify....

Justification is over-rated.

Justice, that's where we should put our efforts!

I think one of my issues with keeper rates is rushing through the shots and not taking enough time to ensure im at my steadiest.. poor technique too..

But people at work have randomly made jokes about how my withdrawal is going :-P

Eager to see what that gfx100 offers.. I highly doubt it's for me (due to price ) but who knows if it ticks enough boxes then who knows

Doubtful though

The Boy was meeting one of his heroes today & was both anxious, nervous & a little excited while he was waiting. Do you ever miss being young?

Just listed a good chunk of my fuji gear on craigslist. Rolling it in to a GFX 50R and a 45mm.

What have I done?

I am tempted..

but not as brave as you are

hope it works out for you..

I dont shoot any action really.
lately most of my portraits are in studio.
and i've been trying to do cityscapes with a tripod when ever its a planned outing.
so I think the 50s or 50r could work for me

then there is street photography .. i'd keep my x100f for that.

or maybe sell all but my xt2 and a 23f2 , just in case? (in terms of cost i'm guessing used prices these 2 are about the same)

I like to dream:lol:
