Holy moly! So, how do you like the ergonomics of the camera body itself? Before Fuji did you shoot a full body (like 1D series) or FF with grip and is it similar size/weight?

Hassy just released it's specs for v2 of their system today and it's pretty uninspiring. Still more than Fuji MF but it does have a leaf shutter.

Loved it, right up my street [ha]. I've shot with a 1Dx and a gripped 5D3 as well as the Nikon D5s. The vertical grip is quite different to hold but the camera is quite light, especially with the 63/2.8 on it. Might be a little slippy if you had wet hands but that is just a guess. They really have put a lot of thought in to this one, I could use this everyday with no bother. Man I’m done for now, I didn't want to like the 100s as much as I do. It really is a beautiful camera to shoot with, the feel and sounds are all so subtle.

The 63/2.8

Native 1:1 print size is 39.59 x 29.43 inches. JPEG size of this shot at 100% is ~74MB :-D

The slippery grip? Solution is GT5000 tape!

Not saying the grip is slippy, that was not my experience. Saying it might be if hands got wet but I don't know as it's dry out here today.

Kris @ Dpreview mentioned the non rubberized extension portrait grip as slippery iirc. The weight of the camera slides down causing one finger perching under the lip.

Sounds like a nice camera for people needing 100 mega pixels.

So the prime lens (wide open) you used is like a 50mm @ f/2.2 on a full frame ? That bokeh seems very creamy!!

$1300 CDN for that prime is very cheap...what a bargain!! $13,229 is the hard part but doable..... I better start making my family eat instant noodles for a while :)

Chris has baby hands... The grip didn't bother me but I've only had it for a little while and gone back now.

For what it is at 100mp is amazing. 1/5 the price of the Phase (although that has a bigger sensor), still the AF is good the startup times are instant and the whole camera operates like an oversized X-T3 with IBIS.

Oh yea, the lens: that is the GF63mm F/2.8 - the nifty fifty is you will, by far the lease expensive of the GF lenses to date, it got a bit of stick for being a bit slow to focus on the 50s and r but I thought it was quick on the 100s so win win there. Didn't try out any other lenses as I like 50mm for the street.

Suppose maybe the non-covered portrait grip area not being covered with the non-slip tape is because it's a heat sink?

Interesting question.

I found that an L bracket makes an excellent heat sink.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).
