Jun 23, 2019 23:03 | #10250 F2Bthere wrote in post #18882199 My personal experience has been that these tools are fun and you can spend a lot of time playing with them and, perhaps, such play can be productive as a self-development tool. Or perhaps a better way to waste time . But when it comes to what actually helps me get an image I want, I have always ended up using basic tools in Photoshop and Capture One. The one tool I have found useful is TKActions, which makes it quick and easy to generate Luminosity Masks (and variants based on color, saturation, etc). And the current version (7) has been a step up as a tool for helping with color grading. It is also more broadly useful. Thanks! I will give those a try. OwainShaw Some of my best friends are people. More info | Jun 24, 2019 02:51 | #10251 Wandered down to the beach yesterday. X-Pro1 still makes an excellent wandering camera. 35mm f/2 has been a great buy for me. I might try to get some of my other lenses out of the bag this week, though. But look at least now you can clearly see why you need a full frame camera, oh wait no no that’s not it. Ha-ha, aaaa so good. Owain Shaw wrote in post #18882839 Bit different that to the weather down here. Nice composition and tones in that photograph. Thanks very much. We are having a very dull summer here, I picked the wrong year to stay in Ireland. Ho hum, hopefully we get a few good weeks soon. Fujifilm cameras and lenses.
