Thanks, that would be helpful. I recall you shooting gym and if it can handle that, it should handle kids doing track outside in Florida. :-)

Very best,

I was kinda wondering, I even went back and zoomed in on the photo thinking "Is it soft or something? What am I doing wrong...?"

Sorry about that, should have used a stronger set of line breaks. The light in that last image was really great.
Re: Tripod -- I am thoroughly amazed at the difference it makes. 2 sec delay timer and images are sharper than I've ever seen both on my X100T and XT-3. There are many lessons I've needed to learn on my own, and the benefits of a tripod are one of them. Better comps, Better exposures, Better images.

More shots from the Shenandoah. I played around with some cinematic edits with these.

Here's a Fall bucket list shot I've been searching to capture. Nothing amazing, but that hoar frost outline is kind of unique.

Very cool shot.

Reminds me, last week I was wondering around Detroit when I spotted something very strange. A lady roughly 5'2", and probably in her mid-sixties. She had what I thought was a Mamiya RZ67 to her eye - nope! A Phase One XF IQ4...!
She's been photographing the United States for the Library of Congress for 39 years. I chatted with her briefly and got her card. Carol Highsmith is her name, and she's working on a book as I understand. I didn't bother her too much, but that is a dream job, IMO.

This shot reminds me of her! I like it.

She is actually 73 years old and quite well known.

Documentary as she explained to me. Everyone has a smart phone and smart phone photos just won't cut it when documenting this period in time. That's what I got from our brief interaction anyhow. So fascinating to me because that's sort of how I look at the things I tend to shoot. I shoot with the mindset that photographs become more valuable as time passes. I helped lay sod at my sister's house in 2016 when they moved in. After we were finished I walked around her house shooting a roll of Tri-X. My brother in law couldn't understand why I was taking pictures of his house from all different angles before they had done any landscaping or anything. I said, "You'll see in 20 years."

For the sake of it I'm gonna break the rules real quick.

The Dequindre Cut in Detroit was once tracks for the Grand Trunk Railroad, then it was where the degenerates and homeless hung out. Photographed September 2009.

I'm and observer and it was nice to learn that there is a place in this world for someone like me, ahahaha!

A day past deadline, due to the colour palettes not arriving on time and holding up the final grading on a couple of images, & I'm sending on the two images for print and fitting in place - hope the client approves...
Glad I got a bump in my internet speed in the studio this week as two images added up to 5.69Gb (they are composite), over twice as fast today. Happy and it's lunchtime here so good timing for once.
