I'll be interested to hear how you find the screen as a D pad. I found that lots of things touch my screen (my nose!) and so functions changed. But, I am also very new to Fuji and willing accept all hints and ideas.

The main change I made to my X-T30 was to always set performance to boost, and move focus zoom to Fn. I shoot with a lot of manual focus lens, and found that in many situations, Fn was easier to press.

When I get low on battery or know I will, I disable the screen and only use the EVF. That helps with battery life a bunch.

Mike

My friend bought the Viltrox and really likes it. He says it's not as sharp as the 90 in the corners but perfectly acceptable... especially for the price.

I use Lightroom now, would this do the same or does it offer more options? Would sure be cheaper than paying for lightroom every month..

It is more similar to photo shop. I just bought it (never had it before) and do not want to pay monthly to adobe. They also have a free trial.

You really should educate yourself some more. Yes, it is flu like. But, anyone educated on this topic understands herd immunity acquired from flu-shots, Tami-flu, and the controlled rate at which most flu spreads and how we have a medical system that can cope. You should understand why we are using social distancing to slow the rate of the disease so the medical system does not collapse. And you should not post glib statements like you did above lest you sway someone into making a decision that gets someone seriously ill or killed.

Lucky7 then went on to describe stock market conditions: AKA the gambling casino in NYC owned by rich people. Crazy town....

Mike

The stock market effects way more than just "rich people"... I really hope that's not what you meant to suggest.

I do see the importance in slowing the spread of the virus, but scaring everyone into thinking they need to avoid getting it at all costs is (in my opinion) even more damaging. So many people have been convinced that getting the virus is a death sentence, when in reality it has killed about as many people in the WORLD since it broke out thus far as heart disease kills every few days in the US alone.

Kim, thanks for the help! After restarting the computer the issue seems to be gone, but there are some other weird quirks I keep seeing too... for instance, the rating system used to be a quick click of a star under each image, now I have to right click on the image in order to change the rating (which is really annoying).

Ok that’s super weird. I’ll have a look here also to see if it the same but not I’ll tomorrow. I’m cooking pizza as we are having Movie night tonight as we are all off tomorrow. Except me as I’ve opted to shoot a video of myself.

Yeah I have never really used photoshop and I doubt Affinity is quite as powerful, but at $25 kind of hard to go wrong.

Yeah, for that price can't go wrong... Will do a few through it and see how it compares...

Please google:

Dr. Ari Greenwald. He is a Canadian Emergency doctor working on the front line seeing real life scenarios. He's created an audio message regarding the Covid 19 virus.

I will suggest POTN members to simply listen to his message and determine for yourself in the severity of this Pandemic. The issue is this virus is taking young 30 yr olds, old and compromised.

Please disregard this message if you like. Asymptomatic carriers of this virus are spreading pathogens and spreading it to the compromised or vulnerable without even knowing it.

Why am I concerned? My wife saves lives working on the front lines. What people see on internet news feeds and NEWS media is nothing compared to what is seen by real world front line workers. I am not down playing anything..... this threat is real and asymptomatic carriers are spreading this virus to their Mothers, Fathers and Grand parents without even knowing it. The NEWS is not even remotely close to what the Emergency wards are seeing.......

The typical influenza takes lives indeed. The "typical" is not wiping out people like what is happening in Italy. When this "tsunami" hits if we do not create social distancing we will loose many.

OK lets carry on Fujifilm Love...............at least Fuji is creating effective vaccines......

Take care everyone!!!!

I don't think that is what he meant. There is no need to take that tone regardless... I work in a hospital, clinicians are put at risk to the aid of others, as are the grocery workers. The point is, this is serious. But it is also off topic for the thread.

So lets keep this to discussing what we love...

Fair enough on the tone and topic, but exaggerating on this isn't cute like his straight photography posts. Will delete for the decorum of the thread.

Speaking of discussing what we love. I would love to hear some thoughts and opinions regarding Affinity Photo.
