When I first bought my xt3 I read about the pre shot ES function and thought it sounded interesting but I never got to try it until recently and wow, its an absolute game changer. If you're trying to shoot fast moving objects like birds suddenly and quickly taking flight, this function is insane and will at least quadruple or more your keeper rate. I highly recommend xt3 or xt4 owners give this a try.

One of these was shot with the usually venerable XF50-140 and one with the often reprehensible XC15-45. Which one do you prefer &
Can you tell which show which?
No cheating by going back a few pages. Did this on FB earlier too. Interesting results

Out on a limb, second one is the 15-45. I have the 15-45 and just picked up the 50-230 both used but mint total cost $325.00. Granted all plastic but the optics are unbelievable for the money.

Same f-stop? Depth of field looks different. Both look nice.

I don’t know I’d have to check what the numbers are. I’ll do that and update this. UPDATE, the 15-45 was at f/5.6 (probably on Auto), the 50-140 was on f/11 and is a stack of probably three shots.

Spotted this little fly out doing its thing while I went for an after lunch stroll. Such good life about this time of year.

It’s quite a bit cropped in mind

A few more from today, now that I had an hour to push a quick edit and export over them.
The coot chicks getting a little bit more grown up looking.

And a few minutes earlier walking past I saw what I thought would be a nice shot for the local FB group. But look at that actual heat haze in Ireland swirling about the bokeh! First time I've seen that but I don't usually shoot up about 400mm for that kind of shot.

Fantastic shot, Paul! You caught this egret in a cool looking pose.

So with that being said I'm guessing the 50-140 is #2.

i got myself the Fujifilm 35mm F2. I chose it over the F1.4 brother and the Viltrox 33 because of it's size and the weather sealing. I thought I need at least one weathersealed lens for travel. i will use it also for some details shots for real estate stuff.

Man it's sharp.

Here's a couple of test shots...
