Every time I shoot with my x-e2, I wish fuji would have made an X-e4. I love my X100v, but I would have more than likely gone with a X-e4 had the made it.

Thank you. I used a Fuji X-e2 with a 7artisans 60mm f2.8 macro lens with a Youngnuo Speedlight on the camera and a diy flash diffuser mounted on the lens.

I'm still going to bite and post an image (I had four in this series, this one and another were completely unusable, one was barely acceptable, and one was acceptable, all with the same settings, which you can get in the metadata). I was focusing on the clock of the Peace Tower with the smallest focus point available. Regardless of whether the X-T200 is an entry level or professional camera, it should be more than capable of hitting that target and producing sharp images with the 10-24 at that focal length and those conditions 4 times out of 4. Right now, this photo is equally way out of focus all across the frame.

As I’m way behind trying to catch up on this thread, and you may have already resolved this issue, but I had a similar issue with my X Pro1. I’d posted an image of a flower, which was in good light, the flower was large in the frame and the background was a clear blue sky but, the X Pro1 ( with the 35/1.4 ), missed focus. I posted the image and had the “user error“ too, but a mobile phone would have nailed that shot 10/10, and I had their top of the range body with a lens designed specifically for it. It does happen.

This is an exception shot, how did you get so close ??? I live close to a Heronry, I drive to work past a field where I’ve seen up to 15 birds, but whenever I go to photograph them, even far off with a 500 and a 1.4x converter, they still clear off as soon as they see me.

The Man who bought this house in 1967 while it was in much need of repair, and spent the money to do it up before handing it over to the care of the state, who are also doing a great job in maintaining it as per the bequest, died a couple of days ago, aged 88. I’m friends with his Daughter, who is a great supporter of the arts, so knew him also as did my parents who were on hand helping out in the 70’s with painting and such. My Mum told me I also painted there as a small child but my memory is fuzzy about that. I bought a house on the land 20 years ago so I guess something drew me to this spot, funny how that works.

This is today

That Dragon is amazing, with Julie talking Canon v Fuji for wildlife, I was about to ask if anyone knew how the 100-400 played with a tele-converter. That’s a great example of its capabilities, how’s the AF on moving subjects ???

I think I caught it by surprise a bit, it moved quickly to fold its wings back but was very chilled out. I guess I wasn't a a worry to it & I took one more shot and moved on.

He was indeed a good guy. He moved away from there in the mid 80's and gifted the house to the people of Ireland. He moved back to Leixlip Castle as his main home here.

It's definitely nothing fancy lol. This setup will change in a day or two though. I ordered a small Meike Mk320 flash and a little $8 flash diffuser that mounts on the lens barrel from B&H. It should make the setup a little smaller and reduce the weight by a bit.

Caught crawling in my wood pile. He was moribund in appearance. Died within 30 min's of capture. I did not
euthanize him.
Took him inside and put on the StackShot Rail. 30 images stacked in Zerene.
