Messed up one of the panos, kinda, I'm not fully sure what's going on so will have to recheck things. I was pushing the limits a bit by using the Samyang 8mm fisheye where I should have used their 12mm or the XF8-16. Next one I'll try with a rectilinear lens for sure. Although the pano looks OK the walls are a little off centre so maybe I messed up a bit too, meaning the mapping for the virtual tour gets messed up and the walls get all curved. Ho hum a good school day either way.

Next shoot is in a new restaurant on Monday, doing their food and probably some of the staff, at least I'll be well fed for lunch.

Finally got some clouds last night after a very long stretch of clear or smoky skies and it turned out to be an amazing sunset.

I haven't posted for a while. Finally getting back to some shooting, only outdoors. Trying to play more with my Sony as I want to try the Sigma 105mm f1.4 which I bought late last yr and didn't get to use.

Here is one using the GFX from last yr during my photography class at work. When I look at higher res, GFX seems to have better fidelity compared to Sony.

I got the IR Chrome filter from Kolari Vision and it's made color IR shots so much easier... These colors are pretty much SOOC, no channel swapping needed :)

EDIT: So I'm thinking I might snag an X-T3 while they're so cheap... been resisting it for months now because I'm still eyeing the X-Pro3... but it's really hard to justify the price difference, especially since I can get the X-T3 and 16-80mm for less than the X-Pro3.

That said... has anyone here tried using the 16-80mm for any event work? I'm looking to start shooting a lot more events down here and after the last wedding I shot I realized that having such a versatile zoom could be handy for some of the tighter ceremony area outdoor venues.

For the price the X-T3 a good right now (but it's no X-PRO), I use the 16-55/2.8 for events and the AF is solid on it, don't now about the 16-80 though but that does seem like a one lens solution for daytime alright. I kinda prefer two cameras and two primes still but the 50-140 has me a little spoiled so my 90/2 not getting much of a look in, not that I'd be selling it of course.

I've been debating letting my X-T2 go and purchasing a X-T3. It just seems like I'd be happy with that camera for YEARS to come. Spending funds on a new body now seems kinda' foolish... although I have been spending quite a bit on hifi and vinyl.

I've not been shooting barely at all since COVID hit; concentrating on my business. My creative side NEEDS to get back to practice though...

It just so happened that I dropped both my Canon 5D3 and Sony A7rii into seawater. And it's definitely true what they say about seawater. It really kills cameras.

To make the best out of a bad situation, I finally got the nudge to really move over to the Fuji system. And so I went out and bought myself the 16/1.4, 23/1.4, 35/1.4, and the 56/1.2. All absolutely wonderful lenses.

I still need another body, or maybe two. But I can't decide between Xt3 and Xpro3. One is far more practical and makes more sense, but the other one has more appeal to it.
