I've been debating letting my X-T2 go and purchasing a X-T3. It just seems like I'd be happy with that camera for YEARS to come. Spending funds on a new body now seems kinda' foolish... although I have been spending quite a bit on hifi and vinyl.

I've not been shooting barely at all since COVID hit; concentrating on my business. My creative side NEEDS to get back to practice though...

I am in the same boat. I have an X-T2 and X-T1. I want to upgrade to the 3 but I haven’t been shooting enough to justify.

Tomorrow I'm getting to photograph some food for a new local restaurant, I'm also assuming I'll be too full to eat dinner later.

EDIT: Shoot moved a day as they are still working things out, so for tomorrow I've moved some sculptures up the schedule, it's great to be back being busy again but of course I only get the request to move the food shoot a day after I've prepped and packed up my gear for the shoot, least it's done and I'm shooting from the studio tomorrow so no need to re pack anything, thankfully.

Outstanding, Robert, there's a great moodiness captured with this portrait. Love the framing too because it gives you environmental context around the sides of the subject, but also grants a blurred background directly behind.

Matt thank you very much. You have always been too kind to the elderly (me). I do appreciate it.

Have you guys/gals been so busy you could barely pick up a camera?
We've been relocating all summer and now deep into the fall.
I've just now completed a whole home Pex plumbing project and that after
getting the old screw in fuse panel modernized to breakers, then the kitchen redo
and a bathroom...all prepping for retirement.
I did stop briefly on the road for this snapshot. The retirement home is across from where
I snapped this in the woods. Taken yesterday 10/13 at near fall color peak here in the southern
Appalachians.
X-T30 + XC 15-45mm, 3 shots stitched later.

35mm f1.4 is one of the best Fuji lenses.

35/1.5 and 18/2 are two of my favourite Fuji lenses, could shoot all day on those two.

I don’t think I’m ever going to retire, might take it a bit slower though.

A few sculptures in today, as the food shoot got moved. All shot and delivered by 2:45 so late lunch followed by a quick packing away of my gear. Even got out for a cycle and a coffee. #winning

Here’s one of the pieces and a close up of the detail, a crop from the same frame.

Agreed! Those are still my 2 favorite lenses, they're such a perfect little combo :)

Added bonus; the 35/1.4 works great for IR ;) Unfortunately the same can't really be said of the 18/2... once you stop it down to f2.8 there's a pretty noticeable hot spot :(

IR Chrome filter again on the 35/1.4. Colors are SOOC with manual white balance.

Me, three. :)

The 35/1.4 and the 18/2, two of the three original lenses, are my favorites of the X lenses.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).

I've not thought about upgrading in a while, still happy with my X-T1 and X100S. But, I'm thinking that X-T3 (used for me) would be quite the step up in features like AF and all that. Thanks for pointing this out. That's a lot of great stuff packed into this little body.

Very best,

After my failed experiment with the X-T200 earlier this year, I wasn't at all sure I would try Fuji again, though the X-S10 that was announced today might very well change that (wondering why it wasn't called the X-T40? Because of the new grip design?). Never had been very much enthused by the X-T3 or X-T30 myself. Probably will wait until 2021 to make my move though, and certainly not before some rigorous reviews are out.
