As I suspected, I miss the extra stop on the wide end (like at the party I posted about before), and the extra width hasn't been that useful to me, nor has the reach. It does perform a little better than the 18-55mm when you pixel peep, but to me they perform as near as makes no difference. I do love the aperture ring though compared to the 18-55.
