I messed up while shooting this video, with no way of seeing what’s being recorded with the X-PRO2 as I’m out recording on my own, missing the focus a bit as well as the exposure being too bright for the story. Got it good when the X-T3 was on video mode as that camera works with an external monitor.

Cool. Thanks. I’m looking at going the opposite way and use some Macro Lens I have.

Just did my firmware too. The low light AF is for sure improved, eye tracking seems better too so far. Excited to test it out a bit more this weekend.

I updated my firmware before I went to work this morning (4:30AM!), and was just now able to take it for a test run. Yep, exactly the same as the X-T4 I owned for a few weeks, which is a good thing! It had no problems staying glued to my little girl's face as she did her toddler thing and tried to avoid the camera.

My friend has the 56 1.2 and this is what he said...

Me: X-t3 firmware update available. Update via bluetooth with the cam remote app
Him: You are an 'BEEP'. I had to rush home and upgrade the firmware. Wow!
Me: Lmao!!!! Do you notice a difference?
Him: The difference on the 56 is unbelievable
Me: Very nice!
Him: Face an eye detection lock on and stick really well
Me: Oh good
Him: I was a bit disappointed with the 56 because of the autofocus so this makes me feel much better

He's coming from Sony and the AF and eye AF on that system are amazing so he's always thought the Fuji was lacking in AF.
Interesting to see his take after a few weeks of use.

As for me I'll be able to compare it to my X-Pro2... and maybe my X-T2 (until it sells).

Kinda' excited!

That’s my feeling too with the 56/1.2 at least as fast as the 16-55/2.8 on the x-pro2 now. As per my vid above so glad it’s not just me.

Couldn't decide if I liked this better in color or B&W.

Also, after playing around with my EF-S 10-22mm again (I've had it for nearly a year, just never toss it in the bag), I might trade my 16-80mm for the 10-24, especially since with the MK2 of that lens coming out the MK1 should be even cheaper :) I really enjoy that focal range.

I like the color... because it's minimal. Very nice.

Man, these are impossible birds to capture well, and the fact that you got the KF in front of such a splendid background just makes this photo sing.

Matt thanks. It was possible because Poof was driving. Really needed 500 or more, but cropability of the Fuji really helped.
The pixel density of the XT4 is almost same as the A7Riv but I believe the noise of the XT4 is more manageable than the
Sony.
