Went out in some thick fog this morning hoping to photogragh a tree on an island but it was much too foggy so I had to settle for the first image. The fog stuck around for a while so I drove around in search of another location and took several snaps of these islands.

I have probably used that 35 f2 IS more than all the rest combined, haha. It's handy to have on a film camera, too.

I think I will just get an X100V though because the more I think about it, the more I remember that I don't like changing lenses. The small size and fixed lens are major selling points - I seriously can't stand lugging lenses around. If I take the Canon out I will put a lens on it and leave the rest at home. It's also quite a bit cheaper than the Pro3 and the extra stuff it would require. I also have a lens in the shop (MD 50mm 1.2), a camera in the shop (Mamiya 645 Pro), I need to replace my X-700, and then I need to send in my Pentax 6x7. I also need to buy a new truck and have like 50 rolls of film developed. I need a damn money tree...!

Dead.

Love that first one. Really shows the foggy mood.

So am I, get time of year to have a camera and some early/late light.

Here's another one from yesterday from the estate where I live. Think I went a little to much in the colouring so will go back and fix that by adjusting the layer's white balance & clarity...

A little bit of adjustment in the WB and the RGB curves within a layer dragged over the trees and fog...
Better now I think but still a little over processed as you can see near the corners.

I was wrapping up a camping trip and took a wrong turn. Went through a couple little mud puddles in my truck, then the 3rd one wasn't so little. About 4' deep and got stuck. I went for help and when I returned there was 5-6" of water inside the truck, and one of my camera bags was on the floor. All those things were in that bag...!

It was a stressful day. It happened in Kentucky - the truck was stuck in 4wd after getting wet, but I drove it 6 hours home. After I get the insurance payout I'm going to try to find a clean Lexus GX470 - slightly bigger version with the 4x7 V8. I need something that will handle the weight of my tent. Then I can hit the road again. :-)
