A couple more from this mornings walk, on my own as I was up early or rather the others were up late :-P
A couple of messers, there is about a 10 foot drop into water on the other side of that wall.

Ive wanted an x100 for years now and finally decided to pick one up.

The problem now is I can't decide on silver or black! All my other fuji cameras are black. Every x100 up till the V I've liked the back over the silver. But with the x100v there is just something about the sliver that's kind of drawing me to it. I still love the black, its sleek, classic, and good looking. But now I'm loving the sliver too......Going to pick one of them up tomorrow so I better decide quick!!!......still probably going to go with black but we'll see

EDIT: Whats everyones favorite x100v color?

I would have never, ever considered silver until the V came out. The silver looks really nice finally! I have black because instead of people saying how cool my camera is, nobody says anything. Lol.

Been trying to play around more with daytime long exposures. I'm seeing the appeal in landscape photography more and more, though I still consider myself quite the amateur.

Silver for me. It just looks more like the classic range finders I remember.

Very best,

I ended up with black. Originally bought silver, got to my car, opened the box and there was a repair slip for it in the box. Went back in to exchange it and they brought a black one out instead. I just took that as the universe knew I should have back instead of silver. So I told them I’d go with the black.

Now I’m just trying to set everything up and figure out what does what. I little different then my x-t2’s

Went on a hike with the 23mm f2. I'm noticing it occasionally misses focus when shooting very far away mountains. Not sure if that's something I should be concerned about but it never happens with any of my other lenses.

Where is that? I'm heading somewhere in that direction soon. Not sure where I'm going to go, but I've never been out in the desert before. Nice set.

Thanks! This is at Usery Mountain Regional Park near Mesa, Arizona. There's a lot of cool trails in that general area not just that park. Treasure loop trail is another good one somewhat near that area. Goes right along the base of Superstition mountain. One of my recent posts has photos from that: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=19183086

I just watched a YT video about Arizona yesterday. Whoever it was - one of their favorite spots in AZ is near Superstition mountain. I'd never heard of it before. Thanks.

Inspired my Lucas, I opened a new ND filter and headed out to see what I could get, not much by the looks of it just the little flow out of the lake where the swans live. There is a much bigger flow in Carton house over the road so I'll try get to that next Sat.

This is the full width of the readout from the camera

On water try 2-5 seconds. You will retain the detail of the flow and get less 'cotton candy'.

New multi-year project I just started a few weeks ago... I'm shooting the renovation of a grand house here in Portland for an hour of so every Monday morning...

I needed something/someone to test the x100 out on and this ball of fluff we laying around.

The shift with the optical view finder when focusing close is going to take some getting used to. The camera seems to have so few buttons when compared to the x-t2 that I’m used to. Going to have to spend some time setting the camera up how I like.

Thank you for the input!

I've played around with both methods, depending on the shot. For those shots I somewhat preferred the milky look of the longer exposure.

I do wish I had used a little bit of a faster shutter for these two shots though.

The below is my favorite water capture I've personally made... click through to Flickr to see it large.
It says .4 seconds... but I honestly do not think that is correct and I think this is a bracketed/composite.

Warning... not Fuji...

I need to go shoot more with an ND. It's been a long time. Too long.
