Yes. I can't get it in any farther and it is tightened down. I am scared to press it in any further or screw it any harder. It's Deffinatly secured.

Call it the obvious but realize here. I am a newbie and rookie to this. Really love the hobby and am thankful for everyone's help

How does the picture look without the flash, pretty good?...The reason I ask this is that possibly the camera has just decided that no flash is necessary.

Have you tried any other mode other than A+?....Try Manual("M") mode, set SS to 1/200, Aperture to f11, and ISO 100. You can read in the manual how to set these.

It needs a flash. When it's in a+ mode it leaves the shutter open and allows more light. But in manual mode it comes out dark so it needs a flash for sure. When I take the 468
Off the cameras built in flash pops up and fires so it isn't that the picture doesn't need a flash

Tried manual mode and almost all other. I will try playing with the SS, ISO and Aperture tomorrow. But I have tried different modes and options. Thanks

Ok, I was just trying to eliminate "easy" possible causes...This sounds to me like a possible problem with the flash, you may have to send it in for repair...The good news is that I don't think that it is a camera problem.:)

Hey Everyone. I am extremely new to this website so I apologize if I am writing this in the wrong thread area. I have a Canon T3i and just bought a YN468 for it. I cannot get it to fire. Anything I am doing wrong? It fires pilot shots, but I cannot get it to Sync with my camera! Help me please! Thanks

Are you using 'liveview' ? I don't think non Canon flashes will work when using liveview.

Nope. I never use live view. Can't stand it. Should I contact yongouso or the place I bought it?

Any way it could be a fault hot shoe?

Are you sure it's not in backwards? The square shoulder part goes towards the front and the rounded part of the shoe is on the back side. Look at the pin layout if you are confused.

Take it out of "green box" mode and put it in M mode. See if it fires.

Do you have another body or a friend with a Canon you can try it on?

Not another body. But I'll find a photography budy to see if its the flash or the hot shoe. I tried it on other modes then the green box. I tried M, A-PEV and alot of others. Still nothing
