As the title says, I would love to see how the size of this lens compares to a 350d body, as I have only ever seen pictures of it on its own, with nothing to compare it to. Thanks!

I recommend the battery grip for anyone with the 350D tho'. Tranforms it into a perfectly excellent camera from one with handling 'issues' as far as I'm concerned, esp. with anything beyond a 50mm 1.8 https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1203740

The 350 may be a little small for the Canon 24-70.... so heed Condyk's advice with the battery grip.... it will probably help you a lot with the 24-70... otherwise you will feel as if you are holding "all lens" and no camera body! Just about anything can be balanced well with that extra bit of weight. I can't even stand to have no grip on either XT now...just about everything feels either forward heavy (lens) or top-heavy (flash), or both. Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here

At least the 580EX on top can help balance the 24-70 in front a bit, lol Gary S. Latimer - C&C always accepted/appreciated!

Not the best pic, but I managed to take this without getting out of my chair I'm taking pictures of everything, so go ahead and take this place away from me.

I have borrowed a Canon 24-70mm L before and used it on my 350D without battery grip, but with 430EX Flash, it was really quite awkward as the lens is so heavy, I loved the lens and the quality of images it produced but my left arm was abit sore by the end of the night.
