lens hire

firstly i would like to say hello to everyone , new to the forum , i have a canon 300d , using the lens that came with it and also a tamrom 28-300mm , pics are ok but not as sharp and clear as i would like , i would like to purchase a new lens but would like to know if there are any shops that actually hire lenses out , as i would like to try before i buy , im in liverpool so any shops near by would be of great help. also i like to take pics of wildlife/portraits/mac​ro so any tips on what lens or lenses would be much appreciated.
