Erratic behavior from new Elinchroms

Hi all,

I got an Elinchrom D-Lite it 2 set for Christmas, and started testing and working with them this weekend. I had some erratic behavior from one of the lights that I don't think is normal:

- With the light on a stand and ready to go, sometimes if I pick up and move the stand, the light will just start firing. Sometimes once, sometimes two or three times rapidly in succession, pop pop pop. I blasted myself right in the face several times with it.
- The modeling lamp doesn't always stay on. Yes, I know it has 4 different settings (prop, low, high, off). At first I thought it was simply a bad bulb, but ..
- After the flash pops by itself , sometimes the modeling light will start working properly. Or it'll stop working if it was on before, I don't know.

Any thoughts? Other than the inconsistent modeling lamp and the self-triggering when I move the stand, it SEEMS to be flashing properly when I fire it by the trigger on the camera. I haven't done any testing to see if it's flashing at the correct power.

The second light in the kit seems to work OK.

Bought from B&H, as a Christmas gift from my in-laws.

I assume you are using the skyport trigger. Try a different channel. You may be getting interference from something on that frequency.
