I am going to be heading to Puerto Vallarta in 2 months and was wondering if there is any extrordinary places close to shoot. I am going to be near the Marina and I hear it is the end of whale season which is a plus too. Would love to do some landscape stuff.

I lived In PV for 5 years if you want to Capture Awsome Sun Sets and Landscapes you have to travel 1 hr south. The area is called Costa Alegre, the best places to shoot there are Costa Careyes, Chamela, Perula.

There are gorgeous Landscapes google for "Costa Alegre" or "Tenacatita" you'll find lots of Info.

In PV you can go to Mismaloya, The lilttle PLaza, "El Mercado" (kinda fly market), the church, In conchas chinas you'll be able to capture some nice hou$e$ shots.

Have Fun !.

There are some nice water falls someplace around there.I would insure my equiptment if I were to go back. They police at the airport made us pay him $50 before he would let us get on the plane to go home, so have some extra cash with you.

Made my reservations yesterday. What travel tips does anyone have for taking my equipment with me? Can I insure my stuff here?

Thanks
