I actually got half excited about the 17-70, thinking "what if it is tack sharp across the frame, stopped down".

But then i realized it's for crop sensors. :D

Good gosh, Sigma is seriously stepping it up.
They aren't here to play games anymore.
Hopefully these will live up to the superbness of that 35mm I just acquired.

You know... it may keep me on a crop longer. Especially because I really want the 8mm Rokinon and I couldn't use it on a FF. and the 17-70 is very appealing to me but the older version wasn't sharp. If this lens gets sharper than the sigma 17-50 OS then I'd consider it.

I wouldn't get my hopes up about that. Hopefully the 120-300 will have all the old issues fixed though.

Sigma is claiming the performance of a prime lens with their 120-300.....I hope so.
