2nd time covering HS Wrestling

These are some images from this past weekend, I mainly used a 85mm 1.8; last time I used my 70-200 2.8 Had to pretty much stick to ISO 6400, as the gym was pretty dim.

Very much like all captures, #2, #3 & #1 are my favorites in that order. Love the action. Also like the ref in #5 signaling the pin while the victor's eyes confirm it. Shooting w/the 1D MkIII at 6400 ISO is challenge with the noise that it may render.

Agreed regarding 6400... allowed me to stop the action though. Does the MIV handle the higher ISOs better in your opinion?

Nice work in a dark place. 1/400 @ f1.8 @ ISO 6400 certainly is dark. What did you do as far as noise reduction?

Thanks! I used noiseware. Very light on settings though.

That looks like a dungeon! I don't use strobes myself but shooting in a venue like that would make me consider it.

Nice work considering the (lack of) lighting. :)
