Got my yesterday, and very happy with the price drop. Up here in the north west it is a cold grey day, so had to do with the usual tests of the cats, wallpeaper etc.

I went from a 300D to a 1D Mark 2. It's amazing the difference...literally jaw dropping. Now that I've had some time to play around with my 1D Mark 2, I honestly don't know how I'd do without it. Canon's 1D series, while not aboslutely perfect, is EXTREMELY impressive.

Congrats.

A decent price drop?
I may consider a 1 series in the next few months, if the price drop is significant.

I agree with you on that one. It's looking more tempting everyday..
