OK.... first round of outdoor testing done. Temperature was around 28 degrees, so AF a little slower than expected. However, focus was achieved on moving targets with AI Servo with little problem. Colors appear good. Resolution good. No CA. Sharp Images. So far, seems like Sigma actually made a decent lens! Target was a gull, first standing, then in flight. Range was about 100 yards. Comments?

Looks snazzy to me. I wish I had something interesting to shoot with it over here.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here. Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid!

Ehh well...I hate cold. So if it can't be shot from my back porch I ain't shootin' it. Unless of course I'm being paid.

Nice pic's, it's certainly a good lens. I love and enjoy mine a great deal and it can perform very well. I thought the focus speed was normally pretty good on this lens considering the focal range.

Sigma wouldn't be the most popular 35mm lens manufacturer if they made poor quality lenses. My first 3 lenses were Canon, my next 3 (and last so far) are Sigma.

Are those 100% crops or reduced size images? You can't really tell focusing unless you're looking at it 1:1.

I think that is the first one-legged gullI have ever seen standing upright? Sure there isn't a switch next to the AF/MF button which turns on or off each leg?

Nice pictures. How does the lens handle, or are you using a tripod?

Oh if you must know.... it was handheld, shot around 1/3000 I think, 400 ISO. Not 1:1.... cropped about 25% for image-sake... otherwise, what you see, is what I shot... the Sigma really does a nice job! :-) Thanks for the compliments too...
