That 2nd photo is just nearly perfect......all it needs is to be lightened a smidge, printed and framed. Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

A black background is fine as long as the subject(s) aren't wearing very dark colours (I made this mistake in my Christmas family portrait- it was a dark green background and I was wearing a dark shirt so it was hard to distinguish) https://photography-on-the.net …ighlight=christmas+family Alan
