I'm going to Europe 4/9/18, and I'm hoping to have my lens back by the end of the week. I'd buy another one if it weren't the case.

That's stunning, just found a used copy and should have it this weekend. The lack of noise from your 5D is impressive at 3200 ISO, I seem to have a lot even at 800, any tips?

Thanks. Underexpose and move the blacks slider to the left a tad.

The red lighting was from brake lights - it was far darker than it looks here.

I got my lens back from Canon today! 15 days and $143 later, it doesn't even work! I boxed it back up and sent it right back.

Canon's communication is poor. Lens shipped yesterday and is supposed to be delivered Tuesday, 3/27. They originally received the lens 2/28 - so start to finish, 1 month....I hope. I guess there's still a chance they didn't reassemble the thing correctly again. Lol.

I am thinking about sending mine in too, seems soft at times, and when shooting with IS on something looks weird. I am going to post some sample pics later on to see what you guys think, maybe I am doing something wrong.

I'm not sure I'll ever send anything to Canon again. :)

I'm not sure how mine is working. I have a feeling I'll not ever be really happy with it again. Haha. Doing some test shots today, going through them right now. Nothing really looks that sharp, although this is the first time I've ever used it on this 6d I bought recently.

To be honest I don't really know how to work live view. I've never used it before. I flipped the little switch on the back so it turns on, but I'm not sure how to pick an AF point or anything. Also, it cropped the 2-3 shots I tried to take like that. I just went from 5d to 6d, so this is the first camera I've used with live view and video.

I use the rear AF button and the center AF point. I AF, recompose, and manually adjust things if I need to. 35mm is harder to do things manually though I just remembered, lol.
This is from an hour or so ago.

I can't really tell with this camera - things look ok until I zoom in. Maybe going from 12mp to 21 makes a difference?

Can't really tell if this is a "front-focus/back-focus" issue, but did you try to "Micro Focus Adjust" the lens? The 6D does let you do it. My 135 f/2 was doing the same thing, and all I needed to do was a little bit of MFA

CC always welcome.
