I played with it briefly, but I don't really care to mess with it too much. I figured I'd just use it and see what happens.

focus and recompose with a wide aperture really shifts the focus plane unless you are super careful. Works ok if there is a lot of distance between you and the subject but at a close distance, it's better to just use the outer focus points.

hard to see from the resized photos but seems like misfocus issues, you should be able select a focus box in live view and take a shot. 6d has MFA feature that should help but first you need to figure out whether it is back or front focusing (using central point).

I recalibrate my lens every 3 to 6 months to make sure it's at its optimal setting. Try using the Dot Tune method which can be found in THIS VIDEO. (external link)

I'm gonna have to watch that video like 5 more times...I haven't the slightest idea what he's talking about, lol.

I'm not sure if the focus is really off, or if it's just all soft now, or if it's because I'm zooming in on 21mp instead of 12 now.

I'm gonna go play with it some more. I'm probably mostly still annoyed that I had to replace my 5d, and I picked the wrong camera. Haha, I hate this 6d so far.

I think the whole lens is soft now, lol. I'm just so paranoid that I can't tell anymore... Center focus on the passenger headlight.

Good day folks, finally got a chance to back to this thread with test photos. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is an issue with the lens. This is the only lens I feel is not right or I may not using good technique when using IS. I did receive focus confirmation, but clearly the ones with IS on look like I just missed the focus.
