Which one do you like most?

Cheers

They all look rather blank.

I like the second one....but the crop/framing is not real pleasing. I would lose a bunch of the foreground and left side of the image. They don't add anything.

Does this work any better? I have used the rule of thirds for the positioning of the stag in the first one and the second has been cropped in a bit more

Both are a big improvement to my eye. The second one works best without the lens flare.

I'm not overly fond of any of them, to be quite honest. They're all decent, but IMO, not outstanding. If I had to choose, I would agree with #2. No matter what you do, I'd definitely clone out the person in pic #3.

From all six, I would vote for first or second. But, overall, they do not look like winners to me. Pretty casual. If you have to pay for entries, my advice would be to reconsider.

Hi Adrian,

I voted for number 6 and was surprised to see it's the second least popular...

Number 2 is nice (they all are) but I don't think it's a competition winner. When judges are reviewing photos they have so many good ones in front of them that they have to find reasons to get their pile down... So they look for 'what's wrong'. I think that there is more to find wrong with number 2 than number 6 (I hope I don't sound like a sore loser!!)- no obvious subject (is it the sun or the deer), over vignetting, etc.... Anyway good luck with the competition!

I also voted for number 6. I think it could be improved though by cropping off the left most barrage. This would remove the bridge that leads the eye off the left hand side of the picture and also place the sun about a third in from the left, which I think would improve the composition.
