What's up guys and gals?
I have a credit account with Dell.com.
On Friday 1/4/13, I called up to see if Dell would price match 5D3's at other websites. They came close and so I decided to order the 5D3 Kit with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS. Place my order over the phone.
Box arrives yesterday, Tuesday 1/8/13, and I am SUPER excited. So excited that I'm jumping around, smiling like a fool and just going nuts. It's the most excited I've been in a long time. I've been shooting with my 30D for 6 years and I've been waiting for a while to upgrade. I take the box, run up to my room and commence the unpackaging ritual.
I start opening the box and document every step of the way. Extreme high, to bitter sad low.

I leave you with the photos from my iPhone 5.
UPDATE 1/23/2013
After my story was picked up by FStop Lounge and FStoppers, it spread a decent amount across the net. Fstoppers also posted this up on their twitter account. When I saw that, I tweeted Dell's 3 accounts and got responses and was assigned someone from corporate to work with that would take care of the situation.
Dell was able to take some $$$ off the price of the camera for me, and they are now working on getting me a coupon towards a future purchase. It's been a hectic ride, and to be honest, although Dell did do a little for me, I don't feel it was completely enough. I'm not being greedy. I'm being real.
I received my 5D3 kit yesterday, and all is well.
I'm happy with the camera and I hope no one ever has to go through the sh!t that I experienced.
