I agree, just use LR, no point having two programs doing the same job, I purchased an iMac a few months ago, having always been a PC man, just wish I had done it sooner, so much more user friendly imo :) it's a big learning curve, but a fun one

About 6 months with it and you'll never go back. I've been Mac for about 5 years now.

Thanks for the info about the scroll bar, maybe a little thing to some but it's a huge help for me.

I did figure out to just click and hold on the icon on the dock and it gives you the option to remove.

I'm defiantly taking my time before I start importing all my photes and go pro videos, want to make sure I take my time and do it right the first time. I will basically be starting from scratch since all my photos are in about 4 folders all mixed up, and I am defiantly dreading this process but I"m sure it will be fun.

Well, the good thing is that LR is flexible so once you figure out how you want to organize things, you can do global renaming, moving, etc. fairly easily.

Here's a good place to start:

Like others have said, get used to the trackpad. It will be your best friend once you get used to it. It can be frustrating getting acquainted with it if you are unfamiliar with how to use it, but once you start you will love it.

Icons on the bottom? That's the Dock. If you want an app removed from it click and drag it off the bar. The icon will be deleted. To add one open the application folder and drag what you want down to the dock. Keep them to the left of the download folder. I use a free product called Quick Silver to load apps via the keyboard. Easy and fast.

By far my biggest transition going from windows to mac was over thinking everything. BTW - I learned to absolutely hate that skid pad on our MacBook, still do. I use an Intuos tablet on my iMac for everything now. I try to stay off the MacBook - that's my wife's machine.

I just got mine last night and I must say there is a learning curve for sure.... I picked up LR4 as well... Going to try and develop some skills for photo editing / touch up now.
